Salvador Flores, Jr. graduated from the Latin American Bible Institute formally in El Paso, TX in 1978 with his wife Alicia. He became the pastor of a church in Omaha, Nebraska. In 1980 he moved to Saginaw, MI and became the director of Mid-Michigan Teen Challenge where he has served for over 27 years. He was ordained as a minister with the Assembly of God domination in 1988. In 1998, he commissioned as a Home Missionary. Mr. Flores finished his Bachelor of Science from Southwestern A/G University in 2002. During his time at Mid-Michigan Teen Challenge, he have received special recognition from President Bush for over 30 years of community service and the key to the city of Saginaw -- awarded by the city mayor and council. His greatest reward is the winning of lost souls for Jesus Christ.
Alicia Flores, Jr. was born and raised in Honduras, Central America. She received the call of God into the Ministry when she was 15 years old. God gave her an opportunity to graduate from The Latin American Bible Institute in Texas. She states that she had the privilege of meeting her husband there, and a few months later God called her into Mid-Michigan Teen Challenge to be the Pastors / Directors. She feels she is highly blessed in being the directors of this Ministry for over 27 years!
Toni Johnson serves as Associate Director of Mid-Michigan Teen Challenge. She has been with the ministry 19 years and has a special heart for MMTC because she graduated from this specific program in 1994. She became a Licensed Minister from the Assemblies of God in 1999 through a bachelor's degree from Global University. Presently, she is enrolled in classes to complete requirements for her ordination degree. In 2006, she completed a Masters of Social Work degree as a Clinical Therapist from Michigan State University with a minor in Youth Services to be better equipped to meet the needs of hurting individuals.
